Background and Site Information
COMPANY PROFILE:
Making Business Matter (MBM) was set up in 2001 to assist suppliers of leading UK supermarkets in their dealings with large firms.
MBM draws on a wealth of buyer experience to deliver vital knowledge to suppliers. As the site explains, "Making Business Matter was created to support a Leading UK Food Retailer by enabling their suppliers to better understand the language, the culture and the needs of the Leading UK Food Retailer". The business has grown significantly in recent months and the site has expanded to reflect this.
THE WEBSITE
The MBM site began as a small website explaining the role of MBM and offering contact details. Recently it has expanded and includes detailed background information on the founders and associates of the company - including photographs and professional profiles. The site also now offers various downloads and e-flyers to suppliers.
The site was designed in fireworks and uses an original photograph as the background to the banner at the top of the pages. As there were few pages initially a traditional menu bar style navigation system has been employed.
Most recently, a secure'members' section of the site has been established. This will enable MBM to provide premium content.
